The Puglia Region, as lead partner of the CLEAN project is organizing the workshop "EU Energy Policy and Recent Efficiency Directive Developments" on November 5, 2024, at the headquarters of the Puglia Region in Via Gentile 52 in Bari.
The event aims to promote energy efficiency and sustainable territorial planning, in line with supporting the European "Covenant of Mayors" (CoM) initiative. This initiative, involving thousands of local and regional authorities across Europe and beyond, encourages signatories to develop a Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP), a strategic plan targeting CO₂ reduction through concrete climate mitigation and adaptation measures.
The workshop will provide a unique opportunity to deepen the understanding of the EU energy policy framework and explore the role of the Covenant of Mayors. As part of the CLEAN project, the Puglia Region is committed to fostering cross-border collaboration between Italian public administrations and those on the opposite Adriatic coast, creating a robust network for sharing best practices and knowledge in the energy sector.
The event is open to local administrations, energy and climate professionals, institutional representatives, and all parties interested in advancing toward a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
