This website provides up-to-date and accurate information about the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme and hosts web pages of funded projects. If any errors occur and are brought to our attention, they will be corrected as quickly as possible.
However, the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Managing Authority (MA) and Joint Secretariat (JS) accept no responsibility or liability with regards to certain information provided on this website. This relates in particular to the contents provided by the funded projects on their web pages, including external websites, and contents in the "Community" and "Project" sections. Data Protection Information pursuant to Article 13 GDPR
This section refers to the policies concerning the collection, use and disclosure of users’ personal data, during the use of the portal.
General Information
Users' information are used to provide and improve the Service offered by Interreg IPA South Adriatic. By using the portal, the user accepts the collection and use of his/her information, in accordance with this policy.
Purpose of the data collection
Implementation, documentation and provision of information on EU-funding, handled by the Managing Authority of Interreg IPA South Adriatic, Regione Puglia.
The MA may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect and defend the rights or property of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic MA
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoings linked with the website and the other online services
- Protect the personal safety of the Service users or the public
- Protect itself against legal liability
With the purpose of managing the funds, the user’s personal data are transmitted to the following recipients: Control bodies of the funding bodies and/or private-sector control bodies commissioned by these bodies and/or evaluators appointed by the respective Programme authority and/or the European Commission as processors or members of the respective Programme join monitoring committees.
Data are not transmitted to third countries, except for the IPA Countries concerned.
Legal bases
The data provided by the user are processed for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- Article 36 of Interreg Regulation (EU) 2021/1059 and Articles 46-49 of CPR Regulation (EU) 2021/1060
- Articles 45-46 of Interreg Regulation (EU) 2021/1059, as well as the respective provisions of the Financing Agreements for Albania and Montenegro, and of the Subsidy contracts with project Lead Partners.
Further use of Data
Interreg IPA South Adriatic portal uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To notify the user about the changes related to the Service
- To enable the user to eventually use the interactive features of the Service, if necessary
- To provide customer care and support
- To provide analysis or valuable information for the improvement of the Service
- To monitor the use of the Service
- To detect, prevent and address possible technical issues
Personal Data
While using the present Service, the Portal may ask the user to provide with specific personal information, useful to contact or identify him/her ("Personal Data"). Personal information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address, e.g. for the newsletter service
- Usage Data (See Cookies and Usage data below)
Newsletter
By subscribing to our newsletter, the user accepts that the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme website might automatically process his/her personal data, furnished by filling the subscription form, for providing information the user has agreed to receive.
The user can revoke the consent previously given at any time, by sending an email to the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme, at js(at)italy-albania-montenegro.eu, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing executed due to the consent until the revocation. (Note: in the case of more consents, a withdrawal can only affect the individual one it refers to).
Personal data processed for the purpose mentioned above, will be secured until unsubscribing to the newsletter.
Usage Data
Information may also be collected about how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as the Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address) of the user’ computer, browser type, browser version, the Service pages visited, the time and date of the visit, the time spent on the pages visited, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Right to be forgotten
Notes: In compliance with the legal requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 1303/2013 (Common Provision Regulation), user’s personal data related to EU-funded projects in the structural fund period 2014-2020 are deleted after the statutory retention period.
The user has the right to information concerning his/her own personal data, as well as the right to rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, or to lodge a complaint against processing. Should any project partners revoke the consent, before the end of the statutory retention period, to the personal data processing for the purpose of expenditure control, this partner will be denied the project funding.
If any project partners consider that their rights are not observed, or not fully observed, they may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority. The provision of personal data is a legal requirement, if the project partner is thereby claiming the disbursement of funds. Providing personal data is required to sign the subsidy contract.

The failure to provide such data would have the following consequences for the user: a refusal to grant contractual consent to the use of personal data and to obtain such consent from all the people involved in the granted project, for the purpose of verifying the eligibility for funding, would at any rate lead to the denial of funding for personnel costs. Depending on the project structure, this may even include the withdrawal (cancellation) of the funding commitment.
Data Security
Users’ data security is essential, but no methods for data transmission via the Internet, or electronic storage, is 100% secure. Assuming that the best commercial means to protect users’ Personal Data are used, it is not possible to give a 100% guarantee of safety.
Service Providers
Third party companies and individuals can be employed to facilitate the Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analyzing how the Service is used. These third parties have access to users’ Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are required not to disclose or use them for any other purposes.
Children's data protection
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If any parents or their representatives are aware that a kid has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we notice to collect Personal Data from kids, without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove these information from our servers.
Cookies
To make this site work properly, small data files, called cookies, are sometimes placed on the user’s device.
