LEC, online kick-off meeting on 30 September and 1 October 2020
Overview

LEC project kick-off meeting was held on 30 September and 1 October 2020 through an online videoconference led by the Municipality of Tuzi.  During the event the project partners had the chance to present their organizations and to discuss about project activities and work plan.

Besides the project partners, this meeting was attended by additional guests: Representative of Ministry of Economy - Directorate for Energy Efficiency, Mr Bozidar Pavlovic; National Contact Point Ms Dunja Nelevic; Joint Secretariat officer Antonio Agrosi.

Project partners are: Lead Partner – Municipality of Tuzi; PP 2 - Confindustria Bari e Barletta-Andria –Trani; PP 3 - Municipality of Mirabello; PP 4 - Municipality of Tirana. 

LEC project, co-funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Programme through the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA II), has a total budget of EUR 717 904. 35. The duration of the project is 18 months.

Project objective is to contribute to improving energy efficiency and renewable energy usage through the development of “local community of active energy consumers” (LEC) which cooperates with municipalities (public-private partnerships), by promoting the creation of sustainable municipalities models based on local actions inspired by the change in the everyday behavior of the citizens. 

The main LEC project outputs are: Establishment of 4 Sustainable local energy communities (LEC) (WPT1); production of 1 Common plan for energy efficiency and sustainable energy (WPT2); 4 LEC pilot projects (WPT3).
