
The Municipality of Mirabello Sannitico (Molise) will host the seminar "LEC+ model for creating local energy communities" as part of LEC+ project, on 28th March 2025 in the City Hall.
The project brings together municipalities from Italy, Albania, and Montenegro to promote local energy communities. A key goal of the seminar is to reach news member and organizations interested in promoting local energy communities, starting from the one made in Mirabello Sannitico municipality, thanks by the results of the previous project LEC.
Energy communities play a crucial role promoting renewable energy sources, which in turn helps reduce carbon emissions and fosters local energy independence.
The seminar will open with remarks from Angelo Miniello, Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana. He will provide insights into the city’s ongoing efforts to implement the LEC+ model and making Mirabello a carbon neutral and positive city.
One of the key speakers, Luca Di Narzo, CEO and Co-founder of HexErgy, will show the potential of online platform tools to create and manage local energy communities.
Attendees will also hear from project partners representatives such as Mrs Adela Krajka, Municipality of Tirana, who will showcase his municipality’s successful renewable energy community initiatives. Other notable speakers include Mr Adolfo Fabrizio Colagiovanni from Municipality of Mirabello Sannitico with the presentation of the cross-border energy community model made in the LEC projecy) and Miloš Ivanišević from the Old Royal Capital Cetinje (Montenegro), who will highlight cross-border energy community models. Furthermore, Mrs Angela PARISI of Municipality of Terlizzi will share the experience made.
Beyond case studies, the seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the achievements of the LEC project and the activities of the LEC+ project, illustrating the energy communities implemented by public-private partnerships as a commitment to energy efficiency, presented by Mr Roberto D’Amico.
The event will also include informations about Italian national incentives and funding opportunities, the role of professional associations and ESCO in the energy community topic and much more.
The seminar will conclude with an interactive session to show concrete examples of potential local energy communities.
