On 23 January 2026, the Municipality of Ostuni will host the Kick-off meeting of the REUSEFUL project, an important cross-border cooperation project led by the Municipality of Ostuni and implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Trivento (Italy), the Municipality of Shkodra (Albania), and the Municipality of Ulcinj (Montenegro). The project is also supported by two associated partners: the Union of Municipalities of Medio Sannio (Italy) and the Ulcinj Municipal Utility Company (D.O.O.) (Montenegro).
The meeting, hosted in Ostuni Palace Hotel, will officially mark the start of the project’s activities and will represent a key moment for coordination and exchange among the partners.

Through the establishment and enhancement of reuse centre, the project seeks to extend product lifecycles, reduce waste flows, and facilitate access to reused goods, generating environmental and economic benefits for local communities.
The meeting will officially launch the project and align partners on governance, timelines and next steps. Participants will disuses the first project activities, coordination and reporting routines, and communication actions. A dedicated session will focus on partner’s reuse centre pilot action and practical solutions, including input from an external expert presenting an Italian model to inspire the joint REUSEFUL approach.
REUSEFUL confirms the value of cross-border cooperation as a key driver in addressing common environmental challenges and promoting a more sustainable and inclusive development path for the South Adriatic region.
