Interreg PUMA: Partners Gather in Ulcinj to Share Best Practices and Boost Innovation in EU Funds Management for Territorial Cooperation
Overview

The P.U.M.A. partners are excited about the brilliant results of the workshop “Advanced Approaches to the Management of European Funds for Territorial Cooperation”, held on June 5th in Ulcinj, Montenegro! The workshop was organized by NGO RDA-UBA – Lead Partner of the P.U.M.A. project. It saw the productive participation of all project partners, who contributed with vision and expertise, creating a space to share best practices, innovative tools, and effective management models for EU funds.

The workshop highlighted the role of local territories in the planning and implementation of EU-funded cooperation projects. Many crucial topics were explored, among them:
• The role of employers in accessing EU funds and economic development opportunities.
• The strategic management of the EU budget for cooperation.
• Human rights and the social impact of funding programmes.
• Governance strategies for cross-border projects and institutional synergies.

The event brought together a vital network of political leaders, local government representatives, NGOs, and key stakeholders from Italy, Albania, and Montenegro, with the goal of strengthening territorial cooperation and optimizing strategies for managing European funds: a valuable opportunity to build synergies and strengthen multilevel governance between public and private actors.

The PUMA project is implemented by NGO Rda-Uba, UNICA Società Cooperativa Sociale, Agjencia Kombetare e Punesimit dhe Aftesive, Eurelations Eeig.

With a wealth of expertise and cooperative efforts, the PUMA project promises to lead the change in the way EU-funded projects are designed and implemented in the South Adriatic area.
