
On March 27 2025, from 09:30 to 16:30 (CET), the Municipality of Agnone, Italian partner of the small-scale SMART LAND project, will host the South Adriatic Cross-border Living Lab. Through a collaborative approach, the Living Lab aims to transfer urban mobility models already tested in metropolitan areas to rural regions, fostering integrated, multimodal, and sustainable transport solutions. The event will bring together representatives of local authorities, experts, representatives of local and international stakeholders such as Local Action Groups and connectivity/mobility firms to actively discuss sustainable and innovative mobility solutions for rural areas.
The event will focus on the following topics:
- Presentation of the SmartLand project: Introduction to the project’s goals and expected outcomes;
- Sustainable solutions for local mobility: Mapping of innovative solutions for the local mobility. Needs and perspectives of local rural development;
- Best practices in innovative solutions and sustainability: Innovation in the co-design of strategies for internal and rural mobility, ICT and digital solutions for the improvement of connections and the benefit for rural areas;
- Conclusions: Analysis of the main results of the Living Lab and definition of a draft Joint Model.
The event represents a unique opportunity to explore new perspectives on mobility in rural territories and to initiate a constructive dialogue.
SMART LAND is partnered by Old Royal Capital Cetinje (Montenegro, Lead Partner), Unica Social Cooperative (Italy), the Municipality of Agnone (Italy), and the Municipality of Lezha (Albania).
