TO BE READY project: Outcomes of the Final Event in Tirana
Overview

The final event of the “TO BE READY - The flOod and Big firE foREst, prediction, forecAst anD emergencY management” project took place on 26 October in Tirana, with the participation of the partners and beneficiaries of this initiative. They presented the project's objectives and achievements.

Mr. Davide Marciano, representing the Programme Joint Secretariat, praised the successful implementation of this strategic project, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation among partners. Additionally, the Advisor for Community Policies and International Cooperation, Mr. Andrea di Lucente, highlighted the achievements of the previous and current project, expected to be implemented.

Among the representatives of project partners were Mr. Camillo Marracino, the project manager from the Lead partner, Molise Region, along with Mr. Antonio Cardillo, delivering a comprehensive presentation on the "TO BE READY" project.

Mr. Maurizio Bruno, President of the Permanent Committee of Civil Protection and representing the Puglia Region, presented to Mr. Haki Čako, Director of the Albanian National Civil Protection Agency, the award of the Puglia Civil Protection Department, as a symbol of gratitude for their cooperation.

Also, Mrs. Barbara Valenzano, Director of the Puglia Region Civil Protection, underlined the importance of broadening the range of anticipated risks for the future, including chemical, biological, toxic risks, etc.

From the Albanian National Civil Protection Agency, Mr. Haki Çako, the General Director, focused his speech on the importance of implementing these projects for the Civil Protection System and expressed gratitude for the cooperative spirit with the partners of this project and the European Union.

This event concluded with gratitude expressed by Mr. Klajdi Nikolla, Director of International Cooperation and Projects, who emphasized the Lead Partner's responsibility in the forthcoming NCPA project.

The meeting ended with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement by the representatives of the partner countries of the Project, namely Albania - Ministry of Defense/National Civil Defense Agency, Montenegro, Puglia Region - Italy, Molise Region - Italy.
