On 10th March, the Albanian National Coastal Agency organizes in Tirana (the Black Diamond Hotel) the cross-border conference of the "B-VISA 2030 - Blue Vision 2030 in the South Adriatic" project a capitalization initiative, funded by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic 2021-2027 Program.
During the conference, experts and key stakeholders from Albania, Montenegro, and Puglia will address crucial topics such as smart specialization strategies, sustainability of the blue economy, technology transfer, protection of the marine ecosystem, safety, and innovation. These discussions will emphasize the role of the Blue Economy as a driving force for territorial development and the enhancement of strategic sectors within Albania's maritime economy.
A significant milestone of the event will be the presentation of the first version of the Albanian Action Plan. This document represents a fundamental step in the collaborative process among project partners. Notably, before finalizing the joint Action Plan, each project partner - National Coastal Agency (Albania), the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro, and the Puglia Region - will develop their respective national action plans. These documents will lay the groundwork for the subsequent joint Action Plan, which will define a structured roadmap for fostering sustainable blue economy strategies in the South Adriatic area and facilitating the exchange of best practices.
Puglia Region, as project lead partner, plays a pivotal role in sharing its expertise in defining the Blue Vision 2030 strategy - the regional strategy for the blue economy. By disseminating its strategic guidelines at the local level, Puglia supports Albania and Montenegro in shaping their long-term blue economy strategies and in establishing an effective governance system.
