Sus_Agri in Campobasso rethinks the water use in agriculture for a resilient, climate-smart future
Overview

The workshop ‘The challenge of reducing water use in modern agriculture in climate crisis era’ is organized by Legambiente Molise and it will be held on June 30th 2025 at 9.00 AM in Campobasso, in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences of Università degli Studi del Molise.

This workshop is part of the SuS_AGRI project, financed by the Interreg IPA South-Adriatic Programme 2021/2027. The aim of the project is to help rural communities become stronger and more resilient while also promoting innovative solutions for agriculture to reduce the negative effects of climate change in the South - Adriatic region. It also aims to improve the skills and knowledge of those working in farming by sharing good practices and new tools.

The partners that will participate to this event are the Regional Natural Park Coastal Dunes (Italy), Legambiente Molise Aps (Italy, hosting partner), Municipality of Roskovec (Albania) and Municipality of Danilovgrad (Montenegro). The workshop will include the participation of several local authorities, such as members of the Regional Council, but also the participation of experts on agriculture such as Professors and local activists.

The key focus of the workshop will be exploring new solutions for an efficient use of water, a precious source that is becoming increasingly valuable due to the growing distress caused by drought.

This event is addressed to agricultural experts, farmers, professionals, and students who wish to learn new and effective approaches to cope with the growing challenges that climate change poses to agriculture. This event will offer a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, build cross-border networks, and promote sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
