Fondazione Turismo e Cultura Molise, partner of BLUEFLAG project organizes a training course on “Efficient Administrative Systems and Blue Flag Criteria” at Cala Sveva Beach Club in Termoli (Italy) from 24th to 28th February 2025, for a total duration of 30 hours.
This training course is addressed to tourism operators managing services in seaside areas and staff members of municipalities interested in Blue Flag certification process and aimed to provide in-depth knowledge of the criteria required to obtain Blue Flag certification, a globally recognized standard that ensures the sustainability and quality of beach services.
The Blue Flag Programme started in France in 1985 aims to promote environmental education programmes for the users of beaches, marinas and eco-tourism boats. It challenges local authorities and marine operators to achieve high standards in the four categories:
- water quality
- environmental management
- environmental education
- safety.
During the training course, participants will develop practical skills in administrative management and compliance with Blue Flag requirements, enabling them to successfully navigate the certification process.
BLUEFLAG project - “Enhance cooperation between private and public institution for an efficient management to raise criteria standards for Blue Flag award in the region", funded by the Interreg South-Adriatic 2021/2027 Programme, aims to strengthen the institutional capacities and governance skills of the partners involved, ensuring an effective and coordinated application of the criteria for obtaining the Blue Flag certification at a crossborder level.
This standardized approach makes it easier for regions to collaborate, exchange best practices, and work together on shared environmental challenges, such as marine pollution, climate adaptation, and sustainable coastal development.
The partnership of BLUEFLAG project includes Fondazione Turismo e Cultura Molise (Italy), the Municipality of Ugento (Italy), Municipality of Lezha (Albania), the Albanian Coast for Lifeguards and Water Rescue Federation (Albania) and Tourism Organization of Ulcinj (Montenegro).
