The Regional Natural Park of “Dune Costiere”, Lead Partner of the SuS_AGRI project “SuStainable AGRIculture and climate change: impacts, strategies, and mitigation actions”, is organizing the workshop on “Innovative Methods to Contrast the Climate Change Impacts in the Agricultural Sector” on Saturday 17th May 2025, at the GAL Alto Salento Conference Room in Ostuni (Italy).
This workshop will provide a shared platform for dialogue and cooperation on one of the most urgent challenges of our time: the impact of climate change on agriculture. A special focus will be placed on sustainable strategies to combat phytopathogenic bacteria, including Xylella Fastidiosa, which has severely affected iconic crops such as olive trees.
The event aims to foster the exchange of knowledge, good practices, and strategic visions by promoting innovative and collaborative tools for climate adaptation and environmental resilience in the agri-food sector.
Designed as a moment of open discussion and interdisciplinary reflection, the workshop will bring together scientific experts, institutional representatives, local administrators, agricultural stakeholders, and engaged citizens to explore the intersections between agriculture, sustainability, and climate change.
The workshop will conclude with two thematic roundtables, offering a valuable opportunity for dialogue among experts, practitioners, and local authorities, encouraging the co-creation of concrete and transferable solutions.
