Great success for the events organized last 23 and 24 June 2022 in Brindisi in the frame of the project "ECSYT - Enhancing Cooperation and Synergies of Transport in the Southern Adriatic Ports" by the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises of Brindisi (CNA Brindisi), as part of the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Programme.
CNA Brindisi organized two events which treated one of the most discussed topics of the last period: sustainable transport, particularly in the maritime sector.
"Green ports: the route towards sustainable transport development in the southern Adriatic" was the title of the international conference held on 23 June 2022 in the Conference Hall of the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea in Brindisi. The international conference attracted an important interest among operators and port stakeholders, not only Italians but also Albanians, project partners that participated in the events in Italy. This event saw the discussion of important issues regarding the protection and enhancement of the environment in the management of port systems, giving the opportunity to share new inputs on the sustainability of maritime transport and the nautical sector in general.
The following day, on the other hand, CNA Brindisi organized an Incoming Event: the stakeholders participated to the Study Visit that took place in the port areas of Brindisi and in particular, in the area of the inner and middle port; following the Study Visit, CNA Brindisi organized a Round Table among the operators of the sector. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss and exchange good practices in a green perspective and a great chance for creating cross-border connections. The objective of the ECSYT project, in fact, in which CNA Brindisi is the lead partner, is to strengthen cooperation and synergies in the transport sector in the ports of the southern Adriatic, reentering in the area of the IPA CBC Interreg Italy-Albania- Montenegro, in order to create the best conditions to guarantee and promote sustainable transport.
