SESC project, B2B meeting on Smart Energy trend – Albania Case
Overview

The B2B meeting on smart energy trend – Albania case was held in Vlore, Albania, on 16 and 17 September 2021. This second project activity has been organized by Universiteti "Ismail Qemali" Vlore, lead partner of project SESC Smart Energy Community for Smart City.

The B2B meeting came as a promotion event of RES focusing on the technologies, market, trends in Europe, than bringing Albania cases in RES implementations and management. A list of 15 economic operators has been prepared by the LP team to ensure an audience that fulfills the requirements regarding to the target groups that are going to increase the smart energy community network. 

The participant list included also students, academic staff from departments of electrical engineering, physics, biology and chemistry, computer sciences, and economy and tourism. Also, teachers and students from high schools have been invited to attend the meeting. The other participants came from NGOs in Vlora region, also representatives of Municipality, Vlora prefecture, and Vlora chamber of commerce and industry. 

14 businesses have been in the focus of the event by table labels that identified the operators. Local television has been invited to prepare a tv release of the event. The event was developed successfully at Hotel partner, on 16 and 17 September 2021 according to the agenda and the titles of presentations have been launched for the participants. 

Over 14 economic operators and 37 researchers, lecturers, students of HEI and students of high schools, business representatives, and other general public followed the presentations of experts on smart energies. The event brings knowledge on RES in Europe and Albania cases. The presentations have been evaluated and appreciated regarding the content and the impact on the participant’s expectations. The university staff has been involved in the activity by inviting students and researchers/ lecturers to follow the B2B  meeting sessions and training hours.
