Sviluppo Italia Molise, in partnership with the AMTECH project and various international stakeholders, will host a workshop titled “Digital Transformation and the Implementation of Advanced Manufacturing Solutions in Companies.” The event is set for September 18, 2024, at the Consorzio per lo Sviluppo Industriale della Valle del Biferno in Termoli (CB), beginning at 9:00 A.M..
This workshop, a key milestone in the ongoing AMTECH project, follows the opening conference held in Bari in July. It will focus on discussing the objectives of the project and exploring the impact of Additive Manufacturing (AM) across various sectors. AM, a revolutionary technology, has gained significant traction in both industry and academia due to its ability to streamline production, facilitate rapid prototyping, and reduce waste.
By enabling fast, cost-effective design changes and lowering market entry barriers for new products, AM has become a crucial technology for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The AMTECH project aims to enhance the technological capabilities and research and development (R&D) potential of manufacturing companies in Italy, Montenegro, and Albania, ultimately establishing a cross-border technology district.
The workshop will begin with a presentation of the AMTECH project, drawing on the results of the AMICO R&D Project, which focuses on hybrid and composite materials. This will be followed by a detailed look at production dynamics, featuring insights from experts in the automotive, nautical, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical sectors. Additionally, the integration of AM technologies into Molise’s regional policies will be addressed, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of AM’s role in both traditional and emerging industries.
Industry experts and academic professionals will also share their perspectives on the future of additive manufacturing and its practical applications. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how AM technologies can transform businesses and boost competitiveness on a European scale.
