On Saturday 25 September 2021, the CAVES project arrives in Albania, in Tirana, and specifically in Pelumbas for the B2B meeting. The aim is to put Italian and Albanian tour operators in contact to promote two spe-leological itineraries.

The first itinerary concerns the “Shpella e Zeze”, located about 25 km southeast of Tirana, near the village of Pellumbas, in the Dajti National Park.

The second itinerary has as its destination “Kabash Cave”, located not far from Tirana, northeast of Gramsh and near the village of Kabash. This cave overlooks the Kanioni i Holtes, a suggestive canyon dug by the flo-wing water of a river and mixed with water of sulphurous origin.

The tour operators of the two countries will exchange information and suggestions, and will model the iti-neraries according to their needs and their respective targets, to better promote and sell these suggestive destinations for a new sustainable adventure tourism.
