With the filming of the Old Town Ulcinj, Begova Česma (drinking fountain) and the Old Ulcinj Island in Ulcinj, the activity of data gathering and postproduction of the data for the online platform has begun. The main goal of the project is to create virtual 3D tour that will be on the DUE MARI platform. The Montenegrin 3D tour will consist of at least 250 sites that will be recorded in 360 VR formats. The locations represented are one of the greatest cultural, historical, and natural importance to Montenegro.

Tamara Djukic, who oversees implementation activities of the DUE MARI project for the partner Ministry of Economic Development (Montenegro), discusses the process and benefits of creating the virtual tour:

“Except already well-known locations, a special emphasis is on locations that had not been "discovered" before and which, thanks to 360 VR technology, we will discover for the first time. This is the first project of its kind in Montenegro, which is being implemented to diversify the tourist offer and adapt to global flows, in order to promote the beauty of our country, and also our cultural and historical heritage. We will make Montenegro more visible and accessible because we will be only a few clicks away from the world. We are not questioning the potential benefits, both at the state and local level. I must note that we hope that during the implementation of the IPA III programme we will have the opportunity to upgrade this project. On this occasion we would like to thank the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, as an associate partner on the project, National Parks of Montenegro, the Ministry of Defense, as well as local tourist organizations that supported the realization of the project in the field.”

The project is funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Programme Italy–Albania–Montenegro, in which the Ministry of Economic Development is one of the partners. The leading partner on the project is the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania, and the other project partners are: Regione Puglia, Regione Molise, INNOVAPUGLIA S.p.A from Italy, National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports as an associate partner.

The Croatian company "360Provideo" will conduct the filming and post-production of the collected material by the end of the current year, and a virtual tour will be available on the DUE MARI online platform which will be common to all partner countries.
