In an effort to enhance cross-border cooperation and streamline administrative processes, the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme, in collaboration with the European Commission - DG REGIO, is organising a pioneering workshop on "Simplified Cost Options in Interreg Programmes". The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 October 2023, from 16:30 to 17:30 CET, and will be held at Room 314-316, SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre.

The main objective of the workshop is to promote the adoption of Simplified Cost Options in Interreg programmes, which is expected to significantly contribute to reducing administrative burdens for all stakeholders involved. By focusing on outputs rather than control, and emphasising tangible results, this approach promises to benefit both beneficiaries and programme bodies.

The workshop will be conducted in English and is designed to provide participants with practical examples, allowing them to gain a better understanding of the advantages of employing Simplified Cost Options. In addition, the event aims to encourage constructive discussions on the benefits of simplification in light of the 2027+ debate on Interreg programmes.
