The Municipality of Mirabello Sannitico (Molise) will host the final conference of the LEC+ project, on 31th July 2025 in the City Hall.
The project brings together municipalities from Italy, Albania, and Montenegro to promote local energy communities.
The aim of the final conference is to present the Joint Action Plan created by the project and to raise awareness about project results: the creation of local energy communities in the partner areas.
Energy communities play a crucial role promoting renewable energy sources, which in turn helps reduce carbon emissions and fosters local energy independence.
The seminar will open with remarks from Angelo Miniello, Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana. He will provide insights into the city’s ongoing efforts to implement the LEC+ model and making Mirabello a carbon neutral and positive city.
One of the key speakers, Luca Di Narzo, CEO and Co-founder of HexErgy, will show the potential of online platform tools to create and manage local energy communities.
Attendees will also hear from project partners representatives such as Mrs Ida Borelli, Municipality of Tirana, Miloš Ivanišević from the Old Royal Capital Cetinje (Montenegro), and Mrs Angela PARISI of Municipality of Terlizzi that will share the main contents of the local action plans developed by the partners. A session also will be dedicated to the sign of the Memorandum of Understanding to promote the Joint Action Plan made by the project partners, presented by the external expert Mr Renato Colonna.
Beyond action plans, the conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the local energy community of vast area developed by the local action group Molise, presented by Mr Adolfo Colagiovanni, Mr Valerio Amici and Mr Franco Feliciani.
The event will also include informations about the project DETOCS, financed by the Interreg Europe programme, that want to promote energy transition in hotel and accommodation companies. The main contents of the project will be presented by Ms Sabrina Tirabassi, representing Municipality of Campobasso.
The final conference will conclude with an interactive session to show concrete examples of potential local energy communities in Mirabello Sannitico and surrounding municipalities.
