
Municipality of Danilovgrad, as partner of the SuS_AGRI project organizes a Workshop on "Innovative methods to contrast the climate change impacts in the agricultural sector" which will be held in the in the Assembly Hall of Municipality of Danilovgrad (Montenegro) on 1st April 2025.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the risks that climate change poses to the agricultural sector, with a special focus on water resource management and flood protection. Through presentations and discussions, best practices and measures for mitigating climate change will be presented, including examples of sustainable agriculture and efficient irrigation systems. The workshop will also include hydrological challenges and climate adaptation in agriculture sector, with the possibility of active participation through open discussions and experience sharing. At the end of the event, participants will receive certificates of attendance and guidelines for further activities in this field.
SuS_AGRI project - “SuStainable AGRIculture and climate change:impacts, strategies, and mitigation actions” - is a project funded by the European Union under the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme 2021-2027. SuS_AGRI aims to enhance agricultural producers’ knowledge on agricultural practices to mitigate the effects of global warming.
Due to climate change effects, water scarcity, change in precipitation regime, bacteria and rising temperature have been identified as major climate risk factors across the agriculture sector of the South Adriatic area.
The partnership of SUS_AGRI project includes Regional Natural Park Coastal Dunes (Italy), Legambiente Molise Aps (Italy), Municipality of Roskovec (Albania) and Municipality of Danilovgrad (Montenegro).
