An interesting article published on Internazionale, L’Essenziale (https://www.internazionale.it/essenziale) provides a thorough report on connectivity in Montenegro and the obstacles faced by of our projects aimed at improving sustainable transports in the cross-border area between Italy, Albania, and Montenegro.

In fact, despite being theoretically close, the lack of efficient transportation connections between Southern Adriatic coasts has hampered economic growth. Montenegro heavily relies on tourism, and the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the need for better transport links. 

In the past three years, the pandemic and environmental challenges also slowed down the achievement of project objectives, which were adapted to the new needs. But with continued support and collaborative efforts the vision of a well-connected, prosperous Southern Adriatic region can become a reality.
