INTERFIDE, event in Tirana on Intercultural Dialogue among religions
Overview

INTERFIDE-CRT is a cooperation project between Albania, Italy and Montenegro, which is financed by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Programme.

The project aims to promote the tourist attraction of the Southern Adriatic area by referring to the tourist asset of architectures, experiences and religious events.

An important event took place on 16 December 2022 in Tirana, the capital of cultural and religious diversity, in which the heads of religious faiths gathered together. Mrs. Keti Luarasi, deputy mayor of Tirana Municipality, emphasized the importance of this project in a capital like Tirana, with a wealth of spaces and buildings such as mosques and Catholic and Orthodox churches.

The event focused on intercultural dialogue between religions, religious tourism as a tool for territorial and social cohesion, tourism as a profession as well as future scenarios for the INTERFIDE network.

Albania as the gateway to the Western Balkans, located at the crossroads between east and west, has a rich and multifaceted heritage, which translates into high opportunities for the development of religious tourism.
