Second workshop and Incoming Activity of DE-RESS small project on 23-24 September
Overview

The second workshop of the small scale project DE-RESS "Dissemination of the European measures for Renewable Energy Shared and Sustainable: analysis of a practical case", funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania Montenegro 2014-2020 Programme, will be held in Brindisi next Thursday, 23 September, at Palazzo Guerrieri from 9:30 to 16:30.

The second workshop entitled "Energy Communities: Key Consumers" is organized by Ditne - National Technology District on Energy – as lead partner of the DE-RESS project.

On 16 September the first event entitled "Workshop on Dissemination of European measures for shared and sustainable renewable energy" was held in Tirana, Albania, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, Gjergji Sumaku, and public and private experts and technicians in the field of Renewable Energy who discussed the various topics covered by the workshop, from measures and regulations to incentives and good practices on the territory of the program area, with a focus on Albania.

The second workshop will be dedicated to representatives of the Apulian municipalities, the experts and the economic operators of the field of the renewable energies and will be articulated in two parts: in the first session on the technologies, the role of consumers and demand in the renewable energy sector and the second session will present case studies followed by a debate among experts.

As part of the workshop in Italy: Arturo De Risi, President Ditne, Gjergi Simaku, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy in Albania, Chiara Campanile, Project Officer of the Joint Secretariat of the European Cooperation Programme Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro 2014/2020, Raimonda Bedo and Matilda Naco, representatives of the RCDC Association (project partners), Riccardo Rossi, Mayor of Brindisi, Alessandro Delli Noci, Councillor for Economic Development of the Puglia Region, Carlo Gadaleta Caldarola, for ARTI Puglia, Edoardo Zanchini, National Vice President of Legambiente, Mauro Annunziato, for ENEA, Gelsomina Macchitella, Head of the Economic Planning Sector of the Municipality of Brindisi, Grazia Giovannetti, President of the Cooperative of Melpignano and Sara Capuzzo, President of the Cooperative E' Nostra.

Will also also be involved as main stakeholders of the territory: the President of CNA Brindisi Franco Gentile, the President of Confindustria Brindisi Gabriele Lippolis, the Order of Engineers and Arca (Regional Agency for Home and Living North Salento - Brindisi).

The last phase of the project includes an incoming activity to be held on 24 September at the Cooperative Community of the Municipality of Melpignano with some economic operators specialized in the energy sector and representatives of small municipalities between Italy and Albania. To welcome the group the Mayor Valentina Avantaggiato and the President of the Cooperative Grazia Giovannetti. During the activity there will be the presentation of the ongoing projects of the Cooperative of Community, the renewable structures present in the municipality and an afternoon meeting with the technicians will start, in order to train the operators who will participate in the activity.
