Interreg AMTECH project will host a major international event on 10 December in Bari: the Incoming Mission dedicated to Additive Manufacturing, organized by IMAST as part of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic “AMTECH” project. This initiative aims to explore the potential of 3D printing in the aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and industrial sectors.
A group of participants from the industrial, academic, and student communities of Montenegro, Albania, Molise, and Puglia will have the opportunity to directly engage with leading companies in the field of Additive Manufacturing. They will gain first-hand insights into the capabilities and benefits of these technologies, such as reduced production times, optimized resource usage, and improved energy efficiency.
By visiting companies like Supre Srl, Solid World Group Spa, and the Joint Lab PoliBA-Avio GE, an example of successful public-private collaboration, participants will explore the applications and potential of 3D printing in the aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and industrial sectors. They will witness advanced applications of this technology, including electron beam melting processes for advanced alloys, hybrid solutions combining 3D printing and traditional machining, and integrated design-to-production industrial systems.
A concluding interactive session will encourage participants to discuss tailored solutions for their specific needs, foster collaborations, and explore new ideas and opportunities for introducing Additive Manufacturing into their activities.
This initiative is part of the AMTECH project, which aims to enhance the technological capabilities of manufacturing companies in Italy, Montenegro, and Albania, fostering cross- border collaboration on Additive Manufacturing. The project will involve over 100 participants, including entrepreneurs, academics, and professionals in its various activities.
