On 1 and 2 October (9am > 4pm) Puglia Region will host the international seminar of B-VISA 2030, the project led by the Research and International Relations Section aimed at enhancing the results of the activities carried out by the Puglia Region in its territory in defining the Blue Vision 2030 process, sharing the strategic guidelines defined at regional level on a cross-border scale and supporting in Albania and Montenegro the definition of a long-term blue strategy and the creation of a joint cross-border strategy, to relaunch the blue economy sectors and improve the sustainability of the South Adriatic.
The seminar aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences of the Puglia Region to promote the definition of a Blue Vision 2030 in the Southern Adriatic, encouraging the transfer of knowledge and the development of blue innovation ecosystems at regional and cross-border level, as well as the participation in the Blue Economy networks by Montenegro and Albania.
The first day, titled “The Blue Economy most relevant sectors for the South Adriatic to favour the blue innovation ecosystem”, thanks to the interventions of high-profile experts, will provide an overview of the most significant sectors of the blue economy in terms of development and employment for the Southern Adriatic area: the sustainable use of marine biological resources, blue biotechnologies, coastal tourism and port activities.
On the second day, titled “The Blue Economy netowrks: development in the South Adriatic”, the focus is on the development opportunities arising from networking both at regional and European level. It will therefore be an opportunity to present experiences that are entirely from Puglia, such as those of the GAL – Local Purchasing Group and the Network of Culture and Professions of the Sea, which have ample room for replication in Albania and Montenegro, and at the same time encourage active participation in European platforms, including the new S3 Thematic Partnership “MaSBBE”.
The initiative will be attended by institutional representatives of the Puglia Region, as well as stakeholders from Albania and Montenegro.
Participation in the event is free upon registration in the section dedicated to the Fiera del Levante on the Puglia Region website, which allows you to download the ticket for entry to the Fair, available at the following links:
