For the programming period 2014-2020, the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro programme, co-funded by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA II), has a total budget of 92.707.558,00 euro (including 15% national co-financing). For the programming period 2021-2027, the new programme is called Interreg IPA South Adriatic and it follows the exact tracks of the previous programme. It is also co-funded by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA III), with a total budget of 81.258.768,19 euro (including 17,51% co-financing).
